CEO & Co-Founder, TraknProtect

Parminder Batra has served as CEO of SecureTrak, Inc. (TraknProtect) since co-founding the company in 2013, based on the need for an advanced location technology solution to monitor and track complex inventories, particularly within the global hotel sector. Since its inception, TraknProtect has evolved into the hospitality industry's leading provider of staff safety solutions by leveraging its proprietary technology, which was purpose-built for the hotel environment.

Batra began her career in the legal field after graduating with a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law and enjoyed a successful legal career with some of the top law firms in Canada, such as Baker & McKenzie and Lang Michener. Previously, she spent nearly three years as Manager of Regulatory Compliance for the Royal Bank of Canada Financial Group. After leaving her native Toronto for Chicago, she spent the next two years as a Certified Mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR), where she developed a passion for justice and protection for vulnerable individuals.

Today, Batra is a sought-after speaker, panelist and thought leader on topics, such as sex trafficking and harassment in the workplace. Under her leadership, TraknProtect has created a unique and successful model for the hospitality industry using advance BLE technology to ensure a safer work environment for hotel employees and provide improved and more cost-efficient monitoring of hotel inventory.

In addition to her role at TraknProtect, Batra has an established commitment to social causes, serving both as Board Member and Advisor to the Board of Arogya World, an organization pledged to reduce the global impact of chronic non-communicable diseases. She has also served as Chair of the Chicago Chapter of The Akshaya Patra Foundation for children and volunteered to the Grant Making Committee for the Chicago Foundation for Women.
