Overview
The purpose of this
workgroup is to describe
an architecture
(applications
architecture, data
architecture, and
integration
architecture) that
supports the HTNG
vision, and would
provide guidance and
direction to software
vendors and hospitality
companies alike in
choosing and designing
applications that
support the vision. Key
features of the HTNG
vision include
application integration,
interoperability,
stability, flexibility,
scalability, and
adaptability. The goal
is for one or more
members of this
workgroup to
successfully incorporate
its recommendations into
their existing product(s)
over the next 18 months.

Participation
This workgroup accepts
new members on a regular
basis
Interested parties
should read the
information on applying
for HTNG workgroups and
teams
here. The workgroup
as a whole meets only
3-4 times per year so it
is recommended that new
participants do not wait
for the next meeting to
become involved in a
team.

Organization
The workgroup has formed
two teams:
-
The
Governance Council,
which is working on
providing a clear and
minimal set of processes
and procedures for the
creation and
establishment of HTNG
standards.

The
Reference Architecture
team, which is working
on creating reference
architectures for the
hospitality industry
including business,
application, and data
architectures.
