John Bell founded Ajontech LLC after he retired as Marriott's Enterprise Architect. For twelve years he was also an Associate Professor for the Center of Applied Information Technology (CAIT) at Towson University. His work at Ajontech has centered on consulting in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture and Software Design supporting the financial and hospitality industries. He has been developing software based systems for more than 35 years and is an author and contributor to several books related to software based systems for more than 35 years and is an author and contributor to several books related to software development. Mr. Bell is TOGAF certified and is currently serving as co-chair for both the IEEE and Open Group SOA Reference Architecture groups. He also serves as co-chair for several HTNG workgroups.
Steve Cousins is passionate about building and deploying robotic technology to help people. Before founding Savioke, he was the President and CEO of Willow Garage, where he oversaw the creation of the robot operating system (ROS), the PR2 robot, and the open source TurtleBot. Steve serves on the boards of the Open Source Robotics Foundation and the Open Perception Foundation, and is an active participant in the Robots for Humanity project. Steve has been a senior manager at IBM’s Almaden Research Center, and a member of the senior staff at Xerox PARC. He holds a Ph.D. from Standford University, and BS and MS degrees in computer science from Washington University.
For over three decades Greg has provided practical and proven technical and engineering expertise in the fields of data, voice, and video communication. Mr. Dawes has provided technical guidance in various HTNG In-Room Technology Workgroup sub teams since 2003 and is currently co-chair of the Fiber to the Room workgroup. Building on this extensive technical experience Greg has been a contributing author in multiple hospitality industry white papers, case studies and webinars on the wired and wireless communications infrastructure. He received his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and BS in Mathematics from University of Oklahoma. Greg’s past experience include the roles of Training, Technical Support and Engineering Sales as well as business development for Paradyne, AT&T Paradyne, and Zhone Technologies.

Cindy Estis Green’s career began in corporate marketing and senior operations roles for Hilton International. After starting up the data mining consultancy, Driving Revenue, and selling it to Pegasus Solutions, Ms. Green spent twelve years as managing partner of The Estis Group providing strategic marketing consulting to the hospitality industry. Co-author of the 2012 Distribution Channel Analysis: A Guide for Hotels and many other industry publications on the topic of marketing technology, Estis Green has been honored as one of the 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing, was inducted into the prestigious Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame and named as one of Cornell University’s 90 Influential Hotelies. She is currently a member of the HITEC Advisory Council, leads the AH&LA Consumer Innovation Forum, the European Hotel Forum, holds a board seat for The Knowland Group and the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP). Ms. Estis Green launched Kalibri Labs in 2012, a next generation benchmarking platform for the digital marketplace evaluating hotel revenue performance. Using innovative big data techniques, Kalibri Labs helps hotels manage the cost of customer acquisition and optimize profit contribution. Estis Green holds a BS degree from Cornell University and an MBA from The American University.

In June, 2016, Larry joined the team at IreckonU B.V. to help the Amsterdam-based organization bring their innovative products and services to the global hotel industry. IreckonU B.V. delivers the industry’s first, comprehensive enterprise service bus and middleware solution that solves some of the industry’s more persistent challenges. Prior to IreckonU, Larry served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Springer-Miller Systems, Inc., the leading provider of integrated, guest-centric hospitality management solutions to hotels, resorts, spas and casinos worldwide. Following an eight-year career at Springer-Miller Systems that included new product introductions and global expansion, Larry led the sale of the company in late 2015. Other roles included the President & Chief Executive Officer of HBSi where Larry led the acquisition, repositioning, and funding of HBSi, which defined the discipline of Demand Management. He also served as President & Chief Executive Officer of Prosero, an Atlanta-based provider of supply chain outsourcing solutions and the President & Chief Executive Officer of hsupply, a venture-funded e-procurement marketplace. Prior to hsupply, Larry held the roles of President & Chief Operating Officer of Talus, the global leader in revenue management systems and technologies and, for twelve years, the Director, Hotel Systems & Telecommunications Worldwide for ITT Sheraton Corporation where he managed the global technology strategies and operations for the multi-national hotel company. Larry speaks and writes frequently on a variety of topics including managing for high growth, entrepreneurialism, and the venture-funded organization. He also serves on the board of directors of several small, high-growth firms and several charitable foundations. Larry graduated from Cornell University, and serves as a member of the Advisory board for the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the University’s School of Hotel Administration.

David has been an IT professional for over 18 years working in a variety of industries, with a focus on hospitality, coming through 9 years of experience in various 5-star hotels. His experience as a network administrator and as a hotelier grants him a strong understanding of compliance with a real-world perspective in the hospitality market. David is a PCI-DSS QSA, CISA and Prince2 Practitioner, performing a range of security consultancy services at Trustwave including PCI Readiness Reviews, Gap Assessments, CVS1 Assessments, and Trusted Advisor sessions.
Chief Information Officer
After graduating from French business schools ESSCA and ESSEC, Laurent Idrac started his career with Accor in 1983 where he held several positions in operations and support functions (finance, marketing and reservations). He notably managed all the worldwide call centers. From 2002 to 2012, he ran IT Departments for Accor North America. He returned to France in 2012 to be appointed Group Chief Information Officer for Accor. Laurent Idrac has taken part in numerous IT projects including the design and roll-out of TARS (The Accor Reservation System), which is used by the group’s 3,700 hotels, and of FOLS in-house PMS (Property Management System) in 1,800 hotels, as well as the management of CRM and sales force automation projects. Since 2012, he manages Accor’s partnership with the Innovation Factory, the first innovation campus cluster in Paris. In 2014, Laurent Idrac has also been elected member of the Board of Governors of the association Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) which defines technology standards in hotels. Laurent Idrac, lives in Paris, France. He has a French and US dual citizenship, is married with 2 children leaving the US.
Dayna has over 35 years of experience in sales, channel development, marketing and senior level management, specializing in technology for the hospitality market. Dayna is a co-founder and partner in 5thGenWireless, a consultancy specializing in hospitality technology and strategic investment planning for everything wireless and in-room entertainment. Dayna has held leadership roles in numerous companies specializing in hospitality technology, including VP, Hospitality Business Development for Enseo, a digital media solutions firm; Sr. Director Vertical Business Development at Corning MobileAccess, a leading distributed antenna system provider; VP, Sales and Marketing for IP3, a broadband gateway supplier. Early in her career, Dayna successfully managed sales, technical and operations teams at GE/RCA and Williams Communications, later joining Nortel Networks’ emerging optical and access group. Dayna later went on to lead successful broadband divisions as VP of Hospitality at both Everest Broadband and Mitel Networks. Prior to this, Dayna co-founded Brautovich/Kully, a product marketing firm offering expertise in the strategic marketing of telecommunications products. Dayna is actively engaged in HTNG, currently serves as Co-Chair as the Infrastructure Resource Team and has helped spawn multiple workgroups on topics such as Cellular, Wi-Fi, Central Authentication and Fiber-to-the-Room. Dayna holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from the University of California at Berkely.

Albert brings a broad international and hotel industry focused experience to HTNG. After obtaining a degree in Hotel Management from the ISGH Hotel Management Institute in Namur, he found his true passion in the niche market which we all know to be the IT section of the hotel industry. Growing through the ranks in various international hotel companies across Europe, he now heads up IT in the Eastern and Central European Region of Starwood’s EAME Division. Managing the ever increasing variety of IT related challenges that hotels face in the quickly changing landscape of Information Systems and the Technology that runs it, he remains deeply involved in the nuts and bolts of how the infrastructure makes it all come together. His close involvement with developers and designers in project management of new builds and refurbishments means he has his finger on the pulse of the latest developments.
Saverio graduated with honors in architecture from the Università IUAV di Venezia. He spent 6 months at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles on a FIPSE scholarship and a year at the TU DELFT through the Erasmus program. From 2004-2006, he was project architect for Archea in Florence. Saverio moved to Cambridge on a Fulbright scholarship where he received a master’s degree in Architecture at Harvard University GSD (Graduate School of Design) and was awarded the Faculty Design Award for significant design achievements. While in the United States, he worked for KSWA and the MIT Senseable City Lab. Saverio returned to IUAV where, in 2012, he completed a ‘Villard d’Honnecourt’ Ph.D. In 2008 he founded Spedstudio, winning several international design competitions and managing the firm’s daily operations. Saverio joined Makr Shakr in 2014 as a senior project manager and was later promoted COO of the company.

Ram Parimi has a passion for shaping the meetings and events industry through collaborative, innovative solutions that are founded upon relationships. Social Tables has raised $10 MM in venture capital (Bessemer, Thayer, 500 Startups) and has 3,500 customers, including Hyatt Hotels, Carlson Rezidor, Four Seasons, The Venetian-Palazzo, Goldman Sachs, Live Nation, Harvard, and The United States State Department. Prior to building the sales team at Social Tables, Ram worked in Sales and Business Development at Eventbrite, The Kennedy Center, and Fisher Investments.
EVP, Stragetic Initiatives
Luis has been serving the hotel industry since 1993 where he served as President of MTech. Starting with the introduction of some of the first Windows apps to hotels, Luis has experienced the challenges of technology migrations over these years. He navigated MTech through the transition from licensed seat model to managed hosting model. As the Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, he continues to manage the market leading guest incident and workflow product, HotSOS, while involved with setting commercial and product strategy for Amadeus Hospitality. With over 20 years of experience in offering technology at the property and corporate levels of the hotel industry, Luis has come to know what works how and why. Luis is a graduate of the University of Miami.
Bryan Steele is the Head of IT at the Royal Automobile Club and a member of its Club Management Committee. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Jireh-Tek Limited, an IT consultancy with a strong focus on the hospitality sector. He has over 20 years of international IT and business experience. Bryan is a Director of HOSPA, the Hospitality Professionals Association, and chairs its IT Committee. Also, he is an Executive Advisor to the Board of Hotel Technology Next Generation. Previously, Bryan was the Director of IT at Thistle & Guoman Hotels, and a founding member and chairman of the Micros Fidelio Opera User Group.
Vice President, IT-Europe
John Tattersfield is Vice President, Global Information Resources, Europe, for Marriott International, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of technology for all Marriott brands in Europe, as well as the strategic support of Marriott’s European growth plans. John joined Marriott in 1997 as part of the Renaissance Hotels Group acquisition and has led the creation of Marriott’s Information Resources field organization, help globalize Marriott International’s technology strategy and plan, and transitioned the technology of more than 60 Whitbread hotels, and more recently the AC by Marriott Hotels portfolio, to the Marriott environment. One of his current focus areas is technology for Marriott’s new MOXY brand. Prior to joining Marriott, John worked for Renaissance Hotels Group as Director of Management Information Systems, covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Head of Marketing
Christian is an experienced technology professional in the telecommunication industry. His background is centered around mobile telecommunication infrastructure. He had several positions in several European mobile network providers. At Kathrein he was responsible for the marketing activities for indoor capacity system. Now he is responsible for the portfolio- and innovation management for InBuilding solutions at Kathrein. Christian is an active HTNG member since January 2015. He also is an active member in the Small Cell Forum and IWPC to establish future proof telecommunication solutions in the industry. He holds a Dipl. Ing. Degree from the University of applied science in Munich. Christian is based in the Kathrein headquarter Rosenheim/Germany.
Director, Emerging Technologies
Richard E. Wagner is currently Director, Emerging Technologies for Marriott International, Inc. In this position, he is responsible for the evaluation and recommendation of emerging communication technologies that could be deployed at all of the Marriott Hotel Brands. Prior to joining Marriot, Mr. Wagner held similar network management positions for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC). He also spent five years as a Messaging Integration Consultant working on Fortune 500 accounts for Digital Equipment Corporation, and held management positions in software development for Citicorp and Mitre Corporation. Mr. Wagner holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Mike Wrigley is the principal consultant of BOSS IT and is an associate member of Hotel Solutions Partnership which is a global hospitality consulting group. He provides strategic technology advice, planning, project delivery and innovative solutions to management companies, real estate owners, private investors, and system suppliers. He is based in the UK and works on assignments across Europe, the USA, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to forming his own consulting company and becoming an associate of Hotel Solutions Partnership, Mike was the Managing Director of Cyntergy (EAME) Ltd, the branch of a Washington DC technology services company for hotel, restaurant and retail system implementations. Prior to that he was EAME IT Director of Hotel Systems and Telecoms for ITT Sheraton Corporation headquartered in Brussels and held various financial roles with ITT Sheraton and Forte in London and the Middle East. Consulting assignments have been with groups such as Cheval Residences (UK), Elaf Hotels (Saudi Arabia), FBD Hotels (Ireland), Hilton International (UK), Hilton Corporation (USA), Kempinski Hotels (Germany), Minoan Group (Greece), Rouse Kent Property Developers (UK), Shilla Hotels (South Korea), SilverNeedle Hospitality (Singapore), Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Europe & Middle East) and Verifone (UK).
