Vendor Advisory Council

The HTNG Vendor Advisory Council is intended to ensure that HTNG can better address the needs and concerns of members who are technology providers. It was created to improve communications and alignment between HTNG's most engaged vendors and the hotel IT executives serving on the board. It is structured to be a conduit for ideas to grow the organization and make it more effective.

The following list are the current members of the council, with the Chair listed first.  Then each member is listed with the year their term expires as well as their photo, job title, and a brief bio.

 


Micah Friedman - Co-Chair  (Term Expires 30 June 2014)
Director, Hospitality Industry, Oracle

A lifelong hotelier, Mr. Friedman has held a variety of roles with leading resorts and multi-national corporations in hospitality technology. Prior to joining Oracle, he spent over six years as an Architect working for the Blackstone Group. Mr. Friedman has also worked in management capacities at Starwood / ITT Sheraton and at a number of renowned independent properties. His specific interests include: enterprise architecture, business processes, change management & methodology. Mr. Friedman has a B.A. in Finance from Ithaca College.

Vanessa Ogle - Co-Chair (Term Expires 30 June 2015)
President and Chief Executive Officer, Enseo

Vanessa Ogle founded Enseo in 2000 and has led the company to become the preferred in-room entertainment and digital signage platform for North America’s largest hospitality groups and digital signage networks. An active member of HTNG and other industry organizations, Ogle understands what technology is needed to create a five-star in-room entertainment experience in any hotel. Ogle previously served as the Vice President and General Manager of 3dfx Interactive, a publicly traded California Corporation in the business of 3D graphics and entertainment products. In the ten years prior, Ogle held various sales, marketing and management roles with STB Systems, a publicly traded Texas Corporation focused on the design and manufacture of high-end graphics and video adapters. Ogle graduated from the University of Texas in Austin earning her BBA in International Business and Marketing and a BA in Spanish, specializing in language and culture.

David Adelson (Term Expires 30 June 2015)
President and Chief Executive Officer, Intelity

David Adelson has been recognized as a pioneer in the hospitality industry. With more than twenty years of professional and managerial experience, David has lead and innovated in-hotel operations, marketing, sales and finance. He is the creator of Intelity and serves full time as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He ignited a revolution in hospitality technology bringing the ICE hotel guest interface to market and built Intelity into a multimillion dollar company. Previously, he served as senior director of sales and marketing at the Peabody Orlando for three years. Prior to Peabody, he was senior director of sales and marketing at the landmark Grand Hyatt New York where, beyond local responsibilities, he oversaw fifteen other Hyatt properties on the East Coast. He taught hospitality at Drexel University, Cornell University and Boston College. David earned his degree at Pennsylvania State University.

Antonio DiMilia (Term Expires 30 June 2014)
Director of Hospitality & Travel, Cisco

Antonio is an Atlanta-based Cisco Director focused on the Hospitality and Travel Industry. With over 21 years of leadership experience, Antonio is focused on delivering business value to customers in the hospitality, gaming, cruise line, and airline industries. Most notably, Antonio was the founder and chief executive officer of StayOnline, a ground-breaking broadband wireless solutions provider for the hospitality industry. StayOnline was acquired by LodgeNet, the leading provider of interactive media and connectivity services to the hospitality industry, in 2007, where Antonio served as president of the LodgeNet StayOnline broadband subsidiary. Antonio has also held senior executive positions at FCS, a global developer of hospitality telephony applications, and at Control4, a leading manufacturer of automation and energy management solutions. A native of Rome, Italy, Antonio holds a bachelors degree in information and computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in computer science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Larry Hall (Term Expires 30 June 2015)
President and Chief Executive Officer, PAR Springer-Miller

Larry provides strategic and operational direction to PAR Springer-Miller, a provider of integrated, guest-centric hospitality solutions to hotels, resorts, and spas worldwide. Over 1,500 customers in 61 countries employ PAR Springer-Miller’s innovative, guest-centric solutions. With over thirty-one years of experience in global, high-growth, technology and service-based organizations, Larry dedicated his career to serving the global hospitality industry.

Akina Ho  (Term Expires 30 June 2013)
VP of Strategy & Global Business Development, FCS Computer Systems

Akina has been in the hospitality industry for close to 5 years -- holding senior positions from sales, to marketing and now is in charge of revamping the company's product management, technical solution offerings, marketing, global sales, major account management, channel partners and sales operations.  She has assisted in creating new products, processes and concepts for the space that FCS is in, changing the way FCS services the hospitality industry in hotels, resorts and gaming.


Mark Hoare  (Term Expires 30 June 2013)
Partner, The Prism Partnership

Mark's professional career spans 30 years in the hospitality and hospitality technology sectors of the travel industry. His career has covered all areas of hotel operations, and general management in both Europe and the Americas for: The Savoy Group London, ITT Sheraton, Le Richemond Geneva, and Royal Classic Hotels Scandinavia. Currently serving as a Partner with The Prism Partnership, He is now leveraging his last 18 years of specialist expertise in the design, development and deployment of hospitality technology solutions including; property management, central reservation, loyalty, revenue management and electronic distribution systems. Throughout his career, Mark has focused on bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, at the same time promoting the industry’s adoption of new technologies and standards. Over the last 15 years he has held senior Product Management positions for companies that include; Hotel Information Systems, Disneyland Paris, Hilton International, Anasazi, Pegasus Solutions, Hotel Booking Solutions, and IBS.

Shawn McGowan  (Term Expires 30 June 2013)
Chief Operating Officer, Newmarket International

Mr. McGowan has been with Newmarket International since 2003 with an expanding set of responsibilities and currently holds the role of Chief Operations Officer overseeing Product Development, Professional Services, Data Center Operations and Global Support. Mr. McGowan has been involved in all aspects of product definition, development and ultimately delivery to on-going operations. Prior to joining Newmarket International Mr. McGowan was Internet Architect for ManagedOps.com. In this role, he was responsible for defining and delivering service for e-business, portal and CRM applications, and built the infrastructure for all Internet-facing products. Before Managed Ops, Mr. McGowan was cofounder, Vice President and lead technical architect of Coursefinder.com a leading on-line provider of golf search, marketing and venue selection. In addition, Mr. McGowan designed and developed the Internet travel applications for Elderhostel, the prominent provider of worldwide educational travel for seniors. Mr. McGowan has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Plymouth State College with postgraduate studies in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Mukund Mohan (Term Expires 30 June 2015)
Vice President, Product Strategy, Infor-SoftBrands

Mukund Mohan, joined Infor Hospitality in November 2010 as VP, Product Strategy. Mukund has over 18 years of hospitality industry technology experience spanning across the globe, specializing in Reservation Distribution and Property Management systems. Mukund has experience in multiple dimensions of Hospitality technology, including Product Management, Deployment, Development, Support and Global Sales /Account Management. Mukund is an engineering graduate in Computer Science and Technology. In addition, Mukund holds certifications in Information Systems management. As part of his role at Infor, Mukund is very active with customers (from independent locations to large global chains and gaming enterprises) and as such maintains a sharp and current understanding of the integration needs within hotels and gaming facilities, not only for their on-property operational systems, but also including financial systems, asset management systems, human capital management systems and more.

Don Moore (Term Expires 30 June 2015)
Chief Marketing Officer, Guest-Tek

Don Moore is the Chief Marketing Officer at Guest-tek and his professional background includes working for over 20 years for various technology companies serving the hospitality market. Some of these companies include; RCA, Williams Communications, Nortel Networks, Elastic Networks, and Paradyne. In his capacity as CMO at Guest-tek, he oversees global sales and marketing efforts, participating in areas such as sales management, marketing communications, and market research. Don holds a BA in International Relations from St. Xavier University located in Chicago.

Boro Petrovic  (Term Expires 30 June 2014)
Chief Technology Officer, MICROS Systems

Boro Petrovic has been with MICROS Systems, Inc. for 17 years. He began his career at MICROS-Fidelio as Architect of the flagship Opera product. During his tenure with MICROS-Fidelio, Mr. Petrovic has held a number of management positions and has been instrumental in defining the company’s hotel systems product strategy. In his current role as MICROS-Fidelio’s Chief Technology Officer he works closely with hotel operators around the world developing enterprise solutions and helping formulate IT strategies. Mr. Petrovic holds a BA degree in Engineering from Belgrade University, Serbia.

Michael Schubach  (Term Expires 30 June 2014)
Associate VP, Product Management, Agilysys

Michael Schubach is a technology expert with thirty years’ experience in hospitality and information systems. For more than a decade, he supervised a staff of more than 100 technical professionals at Computerized Lodging Systems as they installed technology in more than 2,500 hotel locations worldwide. He then joined ClubCorp, the world’s largest owner and operator of private clubs and resorts. His planning and deployment efforts at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina provided the technology infrastructure required to host the U.S. Open golf championship in 1999 and 2005. In 2008, Mr. Schubach joined the Trump Hotel Collection as CIO, overseeing the IT group until 2010, when he joined Agilysys as associate vice president of product development. He is a cum laude graduate of the UC Santa Barbara and received his MBA from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina in August 2007. He earned both his Certified Hospitality Technology Professional and Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive designations from Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP). Mr. Schubach has been a regular contributor to Hospitality Upgrade magazine and has lectured, taught, consulted and installed software systems around the world.
