Leadership
Leadership
HTNG's leadership structure ensures that our overall direction remains true to our mission of solving problems for hotels, while providing an environment where vendors, consultants, and other industry participants can actively contribute. Leadership is provided by five groups, each with a distinctive role.
Board of Governors
HTNG is organized under a Board of Governors, which sets policy. Election to the Board of Governors is limited to senior hotel or hospitality company executives with technology responsibility. A changing subset of approximately 14 Governors also serve as legal Directors of the association.
Executive Advisors
HTNG also benefits from the advice and participation of a non-voting Executive Advisors, who perform various roles and attend board meetings, but who have no voting power. Executive Advisors serve at the pleasure of the Board. Executive Advisors may include hoteliers, consultants, academics, and other interested parties, but not vendors.
Forum and Workgroup Chairs
HTNG's forums and workgroups are where the work is done, and volunteer leaders from our membership provide the industry knowledge and leadership skills needed to manage our two forums and many active workgroups. Our Forum Chair page identifies the key forum leaders, while Workgroup chairs can be identified by visiting the Collaboration section of our website.
Vendor Advisory Council
The Vendor Advisory Council provides a voice for technology providers in setting HTNG's direction. Elected by vendors and consultants to represent their interests, it consists of 15 senior level vendor executives, who provide advice and input to the Board of Directors.
Staff
HTNG's staff is organized under its Executive Vice President and CEO, who reports to the Board and is responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the organization in accordance with objectives and policies set by the Board. HTNG's staff facilitates all workgroup, communications, member services, marketing, technical services of the association, and much more.
