Individual Industry Partner Memberships

This information applies ONLY to: Individual Industry Partner Members, meaning non-hotel employees who hold an individual (not corporate) membership in HTNG.  This membership category is intended for service consultants working independently or in small firms, and may not be used by individuals employed by companies who offer technology products (e.g. software, hardware) or technology-based services (e.g. data center hosting, ASP software, network monitoring, etc.)

Members in this category must affirm their eligibility in writing when they apply for membership and at each renewal.  Under the Terms and Conditions of membership, members in this category who become ineligible during their membership year are required to upgrade to a corporate membership, or their membership will be terminated without refund.

Privileges:  Individual Industry Partners may apply to participate in workgroups, representing their companies or independent consultancies.  Companies and independent consultancies represented by Individual Industry Partner members will have the same rights as Corporate Industry Partners to participate in workgroup activities and to sponsor or exhibit at events.

Eligibility:  Individual Industry Partner memberships are ONLY available to individuals who work in companies that employ (including affiliates under common majority ownership) fewer than five persons, AND that do not offer technology products or technology-based services for sale to hotels.  Independent consultants without company affiliations are also eligible.  "Technology-based services" is not meant to include basic consultancy services but does include value-added technology products or services that may be delivered or supported through consulting arrangements.
