Potomac,
Maryland and
Chicago (January
10, 2006) —
Accuvia and
Hotel Technology
Next Generation
(HTNG) today
announced an
alliance to
promote
hospitality
technology in
Europe and the
Asia-Pacific
regions through
the highly
successful
HOSTEC events.
The alliance
will be launched
at
HOSTEC-EURHOTEC
2006 (www.hostec-eurhotec.com)
and HOSTEC-ASIA
2006 (www.hostec-asia.com).
HOSTEC-EURHOTEC
runs alongside
Hotelympia in
London from
February 19th
to 23rd,
2006, and HOSTEC-ASIA
is co-located
with the FHA
Show in
Singapore from
April 25th
to 28th,
2006.
The new alliance
further expands
the relationship
that has been
developed over
the past few
years between
the HTNG and
Accuvia. HTNG
has been an
Association
Sponsor and
Exhibitor at
past HOSTEC
events and
Accuvia has been
an active
supporter of
HTNG’s efforts.
In 2004/5,
HOSTEC attracted
close to 7,000
visitors
interested in
hospitality
technology at
each of its
events in the
United Kingdom
and Hong Kong.
As part of the
alliance, HTNG
will host a
“HTNG Pavilion”
at each of the
HOSTEC events,
where HTNG
members will be
invited to
participate, and
where
information
about HTNG will
also be
distributed.
HTNG continues
to be an HOSTEC
Association
Sponsor and will
participate in
educational
sessions in the
Seminar Theaters,
as well as a
Networking
Receptions
during each
event. Future
plans call for
the alliance to
be expanded to
include an HTNG
Technology
Thought
Leadership
conference to
run alongside
HOSTEC.
“We are very
pleased to once
again be working
with Accuvia and
HOSTEC” said
Douglas C. Rice,
the Executive
Director of
HTNG. “Bringing
together
operators and
suppliers of
hospitality
technology
around the world
is one of the
key initiatives
of HTNG, and the
ability to use
the HOSTEC
events as a
platform will
greatly
facilitate that
process. Nearly
30% of our
members are
based in Europe
and Asia, and
the vast
majority of the
remainder have
significant
operations in
those markets.
Partnering with
Accuvia and
HOSTEC will
provide HTNG
with more and
better
opportunities to
showcase the
work that our
members are
already doing,
and to educate
the industry
about future
technologies
that will impact
our industry.”
Rob Grimes, the
Chairman & CEO
of Accuvia, adds
"we are
delighted to be
expanding the
relationship we
have developed
with HTNG since
its inception in
the hospitality
technology
marketplace. We
view this
alliance as an
opportunity for
us to give to
the industry and
also to be an
integral part of
the
strategically
important work
that HTNG does.
Accuvia’s
overall goals
are to help in
the promotion
and education of
technology
throughout the
industries we
serve. By
partnering with
groups such as
HTNG and other
trade
associations, we
are able to
advance these
objectives. We
are very excited
about the
opportunities
this
relationship
brings to the
hospitality
industry on a
global basis,
and are very
pleased to be a
part of helping
to make it
happen with
HTNG.”
