Thread Systems Architect, Silcon Labs
Marius Munder has been involved in the IoT long before the phrase IoT rose to its current prominence.
After completing his award winning final year project on a wireless connected traffic monitoring system in 2001, Marius went back to the University of Portsmouth in the UK to complete the MEng in Computer Science on top of the Dipl.Ing. in Microelectronics and digital system design from the FH Muenster in Germany. Back from university Marius joined Telegesis as development engineer working on customer driven radio communications projects in a small team of engineers and rose to CTO. As part of Telegesis Marius became an active member of the ZigBee Alliance in 2004 and then later the Thread Group in 2015 whilst managing all aspects of a connected product’s lifecycle from concept stage to a final approved and mass produced end product. Following the acquisition of Telegesis by Silicon Labs Marius is now focusing on architecting IoT systems and standards in alignment with customer and market requirements.
